Iran’s supreme Leader says US received “harsh slap” after attacking Iran

(MENAFN) Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei declared that the United States failed to benefit from its involvement in the recent war with Iran and instead received what he called a "harsh slap" in return.

Speaking in a televised address aired by national media, Khamenei congratulated the Iranian people on what he described as their "victory" in the confrontation with Israel and the United States.

"Despite all its propaganda and claims, Israel was almost knocked down and crushed under Iran's blows," he stated.

Khamenei claimed that Iran’s missile and weapons strikes successfully penetrated Israel’s “advanced multi-layered defense” systems, resulting in destruction across multiple urban and military locations.

He warned that Israel would face severe consequences for any future aggression against Iran.

Commenting on the United States’ role, Khamenei said it intervened in the conflict to support Israel, "but accomplished nothing from this war." He accused Washington of overstating its success in an attempt to hide its failure to achieve key objectives. "Here again, the Islamic Republic of Iran achieved victory and responded by giving the United States a harsh slap in the face."
