Iran Prepares for Upcoming Talks with US, Venue Still Under Discussion
Speaking to state media, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said the meetings are being arranged under the guidance of President Masoud Pezeshkian. “Planning has been made to hold the talks in the next few days, and consultations are underway to determine the location of the talks, which will be announced as soon as they are finalized,” he stated.
The spokesman also expressed appreciation for regional countries that have assisted in facilitating the diplomatic process, describing their efforts as conducted with “concern and goodwill.”
He cautioned that the timing and venue should not become the focus of media speculation, noting that several nations have offered to host the negotiations. “In principle, the location and time of the talks are not a complicated issue and should not be a tool for media games,” he said. “Türkiye, Oman and some other countries in the region have expressed their readiness to host the talks, which is very valuable to us.”
